Not Really White Sauce

You don't have the time, energy, ingredients to make a white sauce? Take pasta, butter, pre-grated Parmesan, ranch dressing. Boil the pasta, drain. Put butter into pasta and let it melt. Add Parmesan and ranch dressing. Enjoy!

Take a can of olives from your pantry. Open it. Enjoy. (Some people even drink the juice. Don't do that. I can cook has standards.)

Cinnamon Popping Corn

I can cook's second popcorn recipe. Take a bag of microwavable popcorn and a box of Hot Tamales. Pop the popcorn. Pour in the Hot Tamales. There are lots of variations of adding movie candy to the movies' greatest snack. This one works best because it feels like your eating caramel corn, but it tastes like Hot Tamales. The candy grabs your molars just the way that other treat would. I promise you'll like it.

Goldfish Crouton Salad

Thank you for forgiving my absence. I have been pretty sick the last few days, and I'm going to take weekends off anyway.

On another note, a few of you have given me some positive feedback by other means. I'd love it if you left comments on the blog, shared the blog on your blog or facebook, et cetera.

Take Pepperidge Farm Goldfish - Cheddar Made with Whole Grain (they taste the same as the others), your favorite bag of organic salad mix, deli sliced ham, Hidden Valley Original Ranch, and Sriracha. Warm the ham in a frying pan. Put salad mix, ham, Goldfish, ranch, Sriracha in a bowl. Enjoy!

Goldfish are an amazing crouton substitute. Try it. Love it.

Rainbow Chip Frosting

Every Friday is going to be Single Step Friday. This means I'll provide the recipe for something that needs no preparation. But since I need to be a little more creative then, say, telling you to buy a bag of potato chips, it has to be something that is not normally eaten by itself, something that the marketers would have you believe adds to other dishes. This may be the case, but they should more aggressively sell these products as a meal on their own.

Go buy a can of Betty Crocker Rich & Creamy Frosting - Rainbow Chip. Open. Eat with a spoon or you can figure something else out.

Sriracha Popcorn

Sriracha is probably my favorite food. Notice I didn't say condiment. There will probably be many entries about rooster sauce.

Take a bag of microwaveable popcorn (make sure it's not "lite" or kettle corn or anything of the kind) and Sriracha sauce. Pop the popping corn in microwave (Like the toast of the last post, you may want to practice if you haven't done this recently. Every microwave and every brand of popcorn is different. You want a maximum amount of popped kernels with a minimum amount of burning.). Squeeze an ample amount of rooster into the bag or bowl of popcorn, spreading it around. Enjoy!
